109-1127Secretary General Jan Malikov appeared in public today for the first
time since the assassination attempt several weeks ago. Although he did not
appear injured, Malikov seemed unnaturally stiff and spoke for only a few
minutes, reading a short statement for members of the local press. Secretary
General Malikov refused to answer any questions.Ω
